Meet the Neighbourhood Cats!

I have been blessed to stay at an apartment with almost 10 community cats here to share the neighbourhood with. These cats bring so much more life to the area and thankfully this area has a number of cat feeders as well, so they are well taken care of!

Meet the Siamese, Rosemary!  She's a beautiful little creature but don't let her furry appearance deceive you. She's prone to mood swings. One minute she can be loving and rubbing herself against your leg but the next she could be scratching you for petting her head!

Next, we have Sage, or more commonly known as Long-tail! A full black and part siamese, this fella is one of the sweetest and most patient males I know. He has a deep and funny meow as if he's always having a sore throat and loves following me around!

This is Basil, or commonly known as Short-tail! He's a good friend of Long-tail and is usually seen together. He's rather shy around humans but he's an attention seeker once you gained his trust. His meow is one of the cutest things I've heard - it's short and kind of like a bark!

Meet Cinnamon, but we call him Orangey! He looks rather fierce and loves to pick fights with cats he doesn't know very well but he's just a lovable old man once you gain his trust!

Here we have Clove, but we call her Pregnant even though she's sterilized because of how fat she is! She loves human attention and she has one of the loudest purrs. Unfortunately, she's getting on with age and suffers from asthma.

This is Tiabethia and she's a beautiful calico! She's actually a house cat but still likes to roam about the neighbourhood. Like Basil, she's rather cautious of humans and is not really a fan of people petting her, but ironically, she loves rubbing herself against your legs!

Next, we have Wasabi who is an older white cat with only one eye. We're not too sure what happened to his other eye but he's a feisty cat. He too is a house cat who roams about but he really dislikes people touching him. He has one of the loudest meows here and he's like a ghost! One minute he's behind you and the next he's gone, with no traces of him left as to where he could have gone.

Meet Nugmeg, also known as Brown, one of the sweetest cats here. She's rather shy with other cats and prefers to keep to herself but she loves meeting new humans. She only wanders a few meters from her box so she has never really seen much of the world!

Here is Catnip, or more commonly known as Grey! He is also a house cat who loves to wander the perimeter around his house and has a cute meow every time someone pats his head! Unfortunately he and Sage aren't really the best of friends, especially with Rosemary around!

This is Ginger, but we call him Orangey's Cousin even though they aren't blood-related. He is one of the loudest and most vocal cats in this neighbourhood. He'll meow really loudly and hold his meow if people approach him. He's a bit like Tiabethia! He would rub himself on me but becomes the devil if you stroke his back for too long!

Next up is Juniper! We call her the Carpark cat since she only stays and eats in the carpark. She's a small little girl with a fiesty attitude. Like Ginger, she'll rub herself against your leg but she absolutely hates it when people pat her back and touch her tail.

Lastly, we have One-spot! We gave him that name for his very unique pattern. He is fully white on one side yet he has one round spotty patch on the middle of his other side! Now, this guy has not been sterilized and is one of the most skittish cats I know. He can only be spotted by chance and can usually be found in drains or under cars. Yes, this guy is a real gem indeed!
